André Groeneveld is working at FrieslandCampina Ingredients as  Discovery manager for Early Life Nutrition R&D where he is involved in the long term developments and discovery/ideation processes to enhance the Innovation pipeline. He works with FrieslandCampina' s development teams, marketing teams, R&D teams and external partners in both business and academic world to drive projects to discover and develop new or improved ingredients for Infant Formula, Adult and Medical Nutrition and related products. He has been one of the drivers behind the Galacto-oligosaccharides program and the Human Milk Oligosaccharides program.

André Groeneveld has a BSc in Chemistry. His main interests have always been visible in making the connections between science and useful application for customers. Over the last 20 years he has been very active in the field of the oligosaccharides. First with the role out of GOS and subsequently also improving the research behind GOS leading to a number of initiatives on enzyme technology, production technology and functionality research. In the same time  the research on human milk oligosaccharides was started which lead recently to the implementation of a synthetic biology based Human Milk Oligosaccharides platform.
