Nina Aagaard Poulsen obtained her Ph.D. degree in conservation genetics from the Department of Biological Sciences, Aarhus University, Denmark in 2008. She has been employed at the Department of Food Science, Aarhus University since 2009. Her research focuses on exploring factors affecting variation in the composition of bovine milk, especially in relation to genetic background, feeding and sustainable production, which ultimately can be exploited for milk differentiation. She has done extensive research in the understanding of milk protein genetic variants and their effect on milk protein composition and thus on nutritional, technological and health-related properties of milk.
